The Palm Springs Air Museum, is a non-profit educational institution, whose mission is to exhibit, educate and eternalize the role of the World War II combat aircraft and the role the pilots and American citizens had in achieving this great victory. In addition to flying aircraft, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources are used to perpetuate American history.
Children Discovery Museum
The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert
Located on Gerald Ford Drive in Rancho Mirage, the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert opened four years ago to unanimous raves. On display are many hands-on exhibits for the young and the young-at-heart, including the opportunity to paint your very own Volkswagen. The newly added Dinah Shore Center, a separate pavilion, is the perfect location for small group meetings. It can accommodate 100 people for a sit-down dinner or 200 attendees in auditorium seating. There is also an attractive outdoor performance area between the buildings that will seat up to 200 guests for dinner, as well as treat them to one of the most beautiful vistas in the desert.
