Clotaire Castanier has been flying balloons professionally since 1967. He has crossed the Alps, an eight hour journey, five times. Since immigrating t
o the United States in 1973, he has served as Captain of the French Team and competed in World class balloon events, consistently placing in the top three positions and receiving bronze medals. Clotaire is now a permanent desert resident, but still flies on the coast in both Northern and Southern California during the warm summer months. Additionally, Clotaire annually flies passengers in the world renowned Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. |
